Take a few minutes and watch this TEDTalk. With hilarity and expert story-telling skills, positive psychologist, Shawn Achor, talks about the key to the science of happiness. Enjoy!
“If happiness is on the other side of success, your brain is never going to get there. What we’ve done is push happiness over the cognitive horizon as a society and that’s because we think we have to be successful, then we’ll be happier. But the real problem is that our brains work in the opposite order. If you can raise somebody’s level of positivity in the present, then their brain experiences what we now call a happiness advantage.”
So, now that you’ve watched the clip, what three things are you grateful for?

I’m grateful for my ability to nurture myself and to continue to grow.
I’m grateful for my drive and motivation when i least expect them to appear.
I’m grateful for my courage and strength to continue to push forward and embrace my authentic self.
